Many factors motivate a musician to work hard on solo projects. Some, for dissatisfaction with the current group and others to break the limits of a work created by many hands. This personal search for the art without limits, motivated Bruno Maia from Tuatha de Danann to create the project BRAIA.

The will to transcend the Celtic Heavy Metal of the band resulted in experimentations. From these experiences in the magical plan of music 10 themes have arisen. And the group of these compositions resulted in "... and the world from there.".

The artistic inspiration was found in the abstraction of the poet and the technique bases in the experiences of the musical world. From this day to the core of millenarian traditions, there was the spontaneous meeting between the myth, the regionalism and the magic. The musicality from distinct manifestations of Celtic music, of the MPB (Brazilian Popular Music), regional music from Minas Gerais and the progressive rock was the base of the creative conception of Bruno Maia.

The 10 compositions were recorded in eight studios, with 16 musicians from many different nationalities and musical formations. In Ireland, with Irish musicians, were recorded the Celtic instruments of “Sláinte a la Brasilis”. In France, the Breton musician Mael Saout, recorded the guitars of “Falalafada”. In Belo Horizonte (Brazil), the violinist Marcus Viana recorded the violins of “Bloom”. In Varginha, Três Corações and São Paulo, musicians specialized in Heavy Metal, Erudite Music, Jazz, Hard Rock and MPB included their personal touchs in the songs’ recording.

Bruno Maia composed and arranged all the work. He recorded the voices, acoustic guitar with steel strings and with nylon strings, craviola, mandolin, bouzuki, hawaiian guitar, electric guitar, tin whistle, low whistle, flute, bodhran and percussion. The feminine voices were intoned by the singers Fernanda Ohara and Isabel Tavares.

With all the peculiarities, BRAIA "... and the world from there", is kind of a personification of the music without limits and name, simply it’s na expression of the contained art of a Brazilian contemporary artist, but with worldwide and without time limits inspirations.
