Группа была создана в 2003г. в городе Clovis, New Mexico. Играет в стиле Melodic Death/Thrash Metal. Сделала свою первую демо-запись в 2004г. Выпустила в 2006 г. свой единственный альбом «Dying Day », после чего была переименована в For the Suffering.

A Day To Fall was put together by brothers Marty and Dave Williamson in late 2003. Slowly working their way up through the local scene, paying their dues week after week, playing in as many DIY venues as possible, the band made a solid name for themselves in the New Mexico and West Texas underground scene. In the summer of 2004 the band caught the attention of Ohio underground favorites, Kill Franklyn, and were invited on a tour of the southwest, once again proving night after night that the band could not be ignored.
In 2005 the band caught the attention of an up and coming promoter in West Texas. Since then the band has been playing high profile shows along side bands like; All That Remains, Glass Casket, Reflux, Cannibal Corpse, Bleed The Sky, Job For A Cowboy, The Acacia Strain, Haste The Day, Static-X, Otep, American Head Charge, Kittie, to name a few.
October, 2006; the band decided to record their first, self financed, self produced, full length album entitled "Dying Day". The band employed the mastering talents of Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer) to put the final touch of brutality on an already intense album. Dying Day has been well received in the West Texas and New Mexico scene and becomes increasingly popular by the weeks.
A Day To Fall will be hitting Krank Studio in El Paso, Texas with producer Eddie Garcia (Pissing Razors) in June 2007 to record the follow up to Dying Day. With Eddie behind the board to create a slick, well produced sound, and the band stepping it up with a whole new batch of brutal songs, the next album is destined to be a masterpiece in thrash metal brutality.
A Tour is currently in the works for September 2007 to spread a small preview to the southwest of what’s to come in 2008 from the six headed monster.
